NATIONAL WATERWAYS CONFERENCE CHOOSES GARICK

Cleveland, OH – December 8, 2003 – Scott Waring , director of marine/rail/terminals operations of the Garick Corporation is a newly elected member of the Board of Directors for the National Waterways Conference, Inc. Election took place at the Annual Meeting in Houston , TX this past September.

The National Waterways Conference 75-member board of directors represents five categories of membership: waterway associations, carriers, public agencies, shippers, and waterway services. Their purpose is to encourage a better understanding of the value of the American waterways system. Mr. Waring was chosen in the shipper category. His term will expire in 2006.

Scott Waring , Director of Operations of Garick, says, “I'm honored to have been elected; this association offers a wide range of services and help to those of us using the waterways on a daily basis. They are also our strong voice in Washington . The waterways do matter and is a vital part of the transportation infrastructure in this nation.”
